Help Center: 3-Layer Signal Lake & Editorial Command Center

Welcome to the Swayd Editorial Command Center & Signal Lake Guide. This document explains how Swayd mines authentic customer discussions across Reddit, Google PAA, Quora, and G2/Capterra reviews, reframes them through your Brand DNA, and ensures you never repeat the same angle with advanced semantic deduplication.

1. How It Works (Step-by-Step)

Step 1: Shared Niche Signal Lake (Layer 1)

Swayd maintains a shared, persistent signal cache categorized by niche cluster (e.g. b2b_product_development_system).

  • Multi-Platform Sources: Continuously gathers genuine discussions from verified subreddits, Google “People Also Ask” questions, Quora debate threads, and G2/Capterra software review excerpts.
  • Verbatim Authenticity: Every signal stored contains the exact customer quote, raw engagement score, and a verifiable external link (source_url).
  • Semantic Embeddings: Each quote is indexed with semantic embeddings for cross-niche intelligence.
  • Step 2: Per-Brand Consumption Ledger (Layer 2)

To guarantee your brand never sees or generates content from the same raw quote twice:

  • Zero-Repeat Guarantee: Before synthesis, Swayd pulls up to 45 unseen raw quotes using a strict consumption filter.
  • Immediate Consumption Lock: Once selected, these signal IDs are permanently locked to your brand profile in the consumption ledger.
  • Auto-Refill Delta Scrape: If fewer than 45 unseen signals remain in your niche, the engine automatically triggers an autonomous delta scrape to replenish the lake with fresh quotes.
  • Step 3: Brand-DNA Prism Synthesis (Layer 3)

Raw quotes from the lake are passed through our Brand-DNA Prism via Swayd Signal Intelligence:

  • Customized Reframing: Two brands in the same niche receiving the same customer complaint will receive completely different headlines and strategic angles tailored to their unique product mechanisms and voice.
  • Category Classification: Each idea is automatically classified into the optimal direct-response carousel category (educational, comparison, listicle, storytelling, myth_vs_fact, case_study, or editorial_benefits).
  • Step 4: Semantic Cosine Similarity & Contrarian Angles

  • Deduplication Check: Each synthesized idea is embedded and compared against all previous ideas for your brand.
  • Similarity Threshold (≥ 0.84): If an idea addresses a pain point you have already tackled with ≥ 0.84 cosine similarity, it is flagged as a “Recurring Pain Point”.
  • Contrarian Follow-Up Angle: Swayd Signal Intelligence automatically writes an unexpected, counter-intuitive angle (fresh_angle_for_duplicate) to reframe the topic from a fresh perspective rather than repeating past content.
  • Step 5: Editorial Command Center UI

In the Next.js Command Center, you can:

  • Review Verbatim Signals: Read customer frustrations in an editorial serif quote block with 1-click proof links.
  • Save to Idea Bank: Bookmark standout concepts for future production sprints.
  • Swap Contrarian Angles: Preview and swap between the standard angle and the fresh contrarian angle for recurring pain points.
  • Batch Export: Multi-select ideas and click “Choose Layout & Send to Review Desk” to proceed into Swayd Editorial Director copywriting and slide generation.

  • 2. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: What makes Swayd's Signal Lake different from generic AI topic generators?

Generic AI tools generate synthetic, hallucinated topics out of thin air. Swayd requires 100% verifiable proof: every single mined idea traces directly back to a real customer discussion on Reddit, Quora, or G2 with a clickable external URL and verbatim quote.

Q2: Why are some ideas marked as “Recurring Pain Point”?

When a customer frustration is frequently expressed across multiple communities, your ideas might touch upon a topic you've already covered. Swayd's Originality Engine detects when semantic similarity is ≥ 0.84 and generates a contrarian angle so your audience never gets bored of repetitive talking points.

Q3: How do I swap to the fresh contrarian angle?

On any idea card flagged with “Recurring Pain Point”, click “Preview Contrarian Angle” to compare the new angle against the original. If you prefer the contrarian perspective, click “Lock As Primary” to permanently update the idea.

Q4: What does “Save to Idea Bank” do?

Clicking the bookmark icon moves an idea from the transient feed into your persistent Idea Bank (idea_state = 'IDEA_BANK'). Ideas saved to your Idea Bank remain available indefinitely and are never archived by subsequent mining runs.

Q5: How often does Swayd mine new signals automatically?

In addition to the manual “Mine Fresh Signals” button in the Command Center, an automated background cron runs every 3 days (0 0 */3 * *) to check for fresh signals across your verified communities and replenish your feed.
