Private Beta: Your Workspace Data Stays Yours

Private Beta: Your Workspace Data Stays Yours

Swayd's private beta runs on one simple rule: an account can only ever see its own workspace. Before we invited the first beta users, we re-tested that rule end to end and fixed anything that did not hold.

One account, one workspace

Every beta account receives exactly one workspace. Your brands, uploaded assets, ideas, carousels and slides belong to that workspace and are linked to your login. Nobody else's workspace can read them, even if they know the exact identifier.

What you can and cannot see

  • You can read and edit every brand, asset, project, slide and API key in your own workspace.
  • Another beta account cannot read your brand, your assets, your projects or your slides. Trying to open one of your records by ID returns "not found" to them.
  • Another beta account cannot attach its own data to your workspace.
  • The admin workspace is separate from customer workspaces.
  • Your controls

    From Settings you can:

  • Export your data as a JSON file at any time.
  • Cancel your subscription at the end of the current billing period.
  • Request deletion. Billing pauses immediately, your data is kept for a 30-day grace period, and you can cancel the request at any point during that window. After day 30, media and account data are deleted.
  • What we verified before beta

  • Two disposable accounts were created and one was given a brand, an asset and a carousel project. The other account could not read any of it, and was rejected from the admin area.
  • The same checks were repeated against the deployed staging service, not only on a developer machine.
  • Unauthenticated requests to internal endpoints were rejected.
  • Frequently asked questions

    1. Can another beta user guess a link to my image?

Published media is served from unlisted capability URLs, which means the address is unguessable but not a password. Do not share links to unpublished media.

    2. What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your workspace stays readable and exportable until the end of the paid period. Deletion is a separate, explicit request with a 30-day grace period.

    3. Can I move a brand between accounts?

Not yet. Brands are bound to the workspace that created them.

    4. Why did a page say "not found" for something that exists?

That is the intended answer when a record belongs to a different workspace. It is deliberately indistinguishable from a genuinely missing record.

    5. Who can see my data internally?

Only the service operations required to run the product (for example, rendering a slide you asked for). Admin tooling is restricted to the super-admin login and is never shown in the customer interface.
